Following is the record of the most important events in the life of this
rootical band as related by CUBA's percussionist Andrew Novozhilov:

CUBA's original lineup was formed in Autumn '95 when Vova and Jeff left the band and Sergey Chuckanov (former "Oznob") and Ivan Svetuskckin (rhythm guitar) came in.

The present lineup:

Alla (vocal)
Fidel (vocal and lead guitar)
Vova (bass guitar)
Jeff (rhythm guitar)
Andrew Novozhilov (drums)

1995

The new program was presented in "Rock-Cafe" in "Methrolog" (Mendeleevo) on November, 12.

December - concert at "DVS" on Vernadskij prospect.

1996

February 6 - studio sessions began at Zelenograd Record Studio on their first professional album. By the end of the month 4 songs were recorded.

February 11 - took part in annual Bob Marley festival in "Island" club (Moscow).

April 14 - a remarkable concert in the "Island Club".

May - June - the studio work completed. Recording this album "CUBA" used keyboard and electronic percussion besides their traditional instruments. The album was titled "Izmena" and was produced by the group itself. It includes the following songs:

July 7 - "CUBA" was among organizer and participants of musical outdoor festival "Zelenograd Summer'97" which was held on Columbus sqr.

Three weeks later Fidel and Alla casually became happy parents of a charming baby, they called the boy Kostik. The event have limited group's concert activity for a while.

December 26 - a big solo concert in "Polynom", Zelenograd.

December 27 - played as a special guest on presentation of the new CD of "NTO
Receipt".

1997

February 7 - took part in the annual celebration of Bob Marley in "Avangard" cinema - the first official action of "Russian Reggae Association"

February 9 - Bob Marley birthday celebration in "Polynom Club" (Zelenograd).

Today "CUBA's" is playing Roots Reggae. Alla is the the spiritual leader of the band who was the first to embrace the Rasta Ideology and their rasta connection grows deeper with fruitful contacts made with other rastas in Russia and abroad via the Internet.

"CUBA's" songs will be included in "Russian Reggae" CD-compilation which is produced by "Russian Reggae Association".
"CUBA" is actively popularizing reggae music in Zelenograd, organizing concerts and outdoor summer festivals.
